Jason Amos

Mr. Amos is an experienced educator with 17 years of service in public education and a deep commitment to student success, positive school culture, and strong community partnerships. His teaching experience includes fifth-grade math, reading, science, and social studies, as well as intermediate-level physical education.

Having served as both assistant principal and principal, Mr. Amos brings a well-rounded perspective to school leadership. He is committed to supporting teachers, building strong systems, and fostering a positive school culture where students are empowered to reach their full potential.

In addition to his classroom and administrative experience, Mr. Amos brings 15 years of coaching experience, leading 26 seasons in football, basketball, and wrestling. Coaching has helped shape his leadership philosophy, emphasizing teamwork, accountability, perseverance, and confidence-building in young people.

Mr. Amos is a relationship-driven leader who believes successful schools are built on trust, visibility, and meaningful connections with students, staff, and families. He is passionate about being present, supporting teachers, and working alongside the school community to ensure every student has opportunities to succeed academically, socially, and personally.

Mr. Amos was drawn to Madison County Schools because of its strong tradition of excellence, deep sense of community, and commitment to preparing students for success beyond the classroom. He values the district's belief that schools should serve as an extension of the communities they support. He is excited to join a school system that prioritizes both high expectations and strong relationships, ensuring students are prepared to thrive in school and in life.

Mr. Amos and his wife, Candace, have been married for 13 years and are the proud parents of three children: Savannah, Tulley, and Annie Grace. They are members of The Well Scottsboro and enjoy spending time together on Lake Guntersville, as well as attending Alabama football games.

As he begins this new role, Mr. Amos shared:
