I am a native of Selma, Alabama and a former graduate of Selma High School. After passing on the opportunity to play collegiate basketball and baseball, I chose to attend Alabama A&M University on an academic scholarship where I obtained both a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Education in Secondary Mathematics. I later attended Samford University where I received my Educational Leadership Certification.

I have nearly twenty years of coaching and teaching experience between both the middle school and high school ranks. I began my teaching and coaching career at Roy L. Stone Middle School (Huntsville City Schools) where I taught 8th Grade Mathematics and coached girls’ basketball. This is my second stint at Meridianville Middle School after previously teaching 7th grade mathematics and coaching football, basketball, and baseball at MVMS. My most recent stop includes teaching mathematics at Hazel Green High School and being a part of the perennial state champion Lady Trojans (Girls Basketball) coaching staff. While at Hazel Green High School, I was also named Teacher of the Year (2019-2020).

I am married to the former Beth Davis, who has also been an educator for over twenty years. We have one daughter, Bethany Brooke. My goals are to create successful citizens in society and develop the entire overall individual. My wish is for all students to learn, thrive, and succeed at high levels.
